Former Saints DE Anthony Hargrove denied that it was his voice in a video saying, “Give me the money” in reference to Brett Favre being injured in the 2010 NFC title game.

The video was part of the NFL’s evidence in its investigation of the Saints’ bounty program. Hargrove was at the league office Monday to have his appeal heard, and the NFL released the evidence it used in the appeals to media members, including the video.

Hargrove returned to the league offices Tuesday and read a 13-minute statement. He said it was someone else who said those words in the video.

“I’ve never offered nor received money to intentionally hurt a player,” he said.

Hargrove, who is now with the Packers, was suspended eight games for his role in the bounty program as well as for not being truthful with the league.
