The Steelers announced the signing of veterans LS Matt Katula and LB Brandon Johnson on Wednesday.
Katula, a seventh-year veteran, played in five games for the Vikings last season. He played in every game for the Ravens from 2005-09.
Johnson played in all 16 games with one start last season for the Bengals. He recorded 31 tackles, three passes defensed and one forced fumble. Johnson, who hasn’t missed a game since ’07, has 214 career tackles, 14 passes defensed and three interceptions.
