The Bengals signed WR Mohamed Sanu, a third-round pick from Rutgers, on Monday.
Sanu, a third-round pick from Rutgers, caught 115 passes for 1,206 yards and seven TDs in 2011 for the Scarlet Knights. He's a viable contender to start opposite A.J. Green in Cincinnati.
PFW's 2012 Draft Preview described Sanu as a "(lean), athletic, competitive, productive receiver who plays faster than he times and possesses route savvy, quick hands and versatility to move the chains from the flanker spot or in the slot."
Sanu was the subject of a prank in which a Rutgers student, posing as a Bengals official, said he was the club's first-round pick. Ultimately, the Bengals took him on the draft's second day.
