A report from CBSSports.com NFL insider Jason La Canfora says that ex-Patriots WR Chad Ochocinco would like to play for the Dolphins in 2012 and has a workout scheduled with the team next week.
Ochocinco, 34, lives in South Florida and is looking for a team after being cut by the Patriots last week.
Miami has a need for an experienced wideout to add to a WR corps that is headed by Brian Hartline and Davone Bess. And Ochocinco should be motivated to prove he still has something left in the tank after a dismal 2011 season, in which he caught a career-low 15 passes for 276 yards and one touchdown in 15 games.
According to La Canfora, there reportedly are several teams, including the Dolphins, that are interested in signing Ochocinco, with a deal expected to be agreed to next week.
