Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon pleaded not guilty to aggravated DUI, according to PFW correspondent Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union.
Blackmon’s next hearing is July 24, three days before the start of Jaguars training camp.
Blackmon was arrested early Sunday morning and blew a 0.24, which is three times the legal limit. It is his second DUI arrest, as he was also arrested for DUI in 2010 when playing at Oklahoma State.
It is a misdemeanor charge that Blackmon faces. He could be subject to the league’s personal-conduct policy.
Stellino reported on Twitter that the district attorney in the case will not accept a plea bargain leading to a reckless driving charge, not DUI.
ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that the Jaguars are likely to offer Blackmon less guaranteed money, as well as a reduced, as well as deferred, signing bonus, in the wake of the arrest.

Still unsigned by the Jaguars, the former two-time Biletnikoff winner likely cost himself significant guaranteed money in his rookie deal, as this is his second DUI arrest and GM Gene Smith doesn’t tolerate this type of off-field behavior from his players. Smith and new head coach Mike Mularkey now have a mess on their hands, particularly on the heels of DT Terrance Knighton sustaining an eye injury in a nightclub altercation earlier in the offseason. The Jaguars are a team desperately seeking greater national visibility, but this type of negative exposure is hardly what Smith and new owner Shahid Khan had in mind.
