WR Donald Driver has agreed to terms to remain a Packer, his agent told WTMJ-TV Tuesday night.
Driver had one year left on his contract, but his return to Green Bay appeared to hinge on his willingness to restructure his deal, under which he was due $4.3 million in salary and bonuses for 2012, including a $1.5 million roster bonus on the first day of training camp.
"We have agreed to terms with the Packers but need to review it tomorrow (Wednesday) to finalize," Driver’s agent, Jordan Woy, wrote in an email to WTMJ’s Lance Allan.
Driver is the Packers’ all-time leader with 735 receptions for 10,060 yards. Last season, however, he had his lowest production in 10 years, with 37 catches for 445 yards, which ranked fifth among the team's receivers, but he did score six touchdowns.
Driver is expected to attend the team’s workouts Wednesday.
