Texans WR Andre Johnson will miss the team’s OTAs after undergoing knee surgery. The news was first reported by PFW’s Texans correspondent, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
Johnson underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee two weeks ago. He is being held out of the team activates for precautionary reasons, with the hope he will be healthy by the time training camp begins in late-July. Johnson said he hyperextended the knee last season at Jacksonville, but called it "nothing to panic about," per Nick Scurfield, who covers the Texans for their team website.
The five-time Pro Bowler missed nine games last season because of injuries to both hamstrings, leading to a career-low in receptions (33) and yards (492).
