Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan was knocked to the ground during Monday's practice after DB Brandyn Thompson slammed into him. The play occurred during the team's first full-squad workout.
Rookie QB Robert Griffin III threw a deep ball to WR Pierre Garcon on the play when Thompson collided into Shanahan.
Shanahan remained on his back on the turf for several minutes. He eventually got up and walked to the sideline.
Redskins spokesman Tony Wyllie said Shanahan wasn't "in condition to talk at the podium" to reporters on Monday. The Redskins do not have an OTA scheduled for Tuesday.
