According to Forbes magazine, eight of the top-10 highest-paid coaches in sports are from the NFL, including Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who tops the list.

Belichick, who has directed the Patriots to five Super Bowls, winning three, during his 12 seasons at the helm, earns an estimated $7.5 million per year, though that figure was not confirmed by the Patriots.

Following Belichick, at $7 million per season, are Redskins executive vice president/head coach Mike Shanahan, Boston Celtics coach Glenn "Doc" Rivers, Rams new head coach Jeff Fisher and Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and Bears head coach Lovie Smith are next, at $6 million per season. Then, Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt and Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin are tied at $5.75 million per season apiece and Eagles head coach Andy Reid wraps up the top 10 at $5.5 million per season.
