Titans WR Kenny Britt will undergo a “minor” knee surgery this week, which could keep him out of some offseason workouts.
GM Ruston Webster told PFW correspondent Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean that Britt had to repair a minor issue in his right knee, but that the surgery was “commonplace.” Rehab likely will force Britt to miss some time in training camp, although the team is hopeful he will be back by the start of the regular season.
Britt tore his ACL in Week Three of the 2011 season, and this is the second surgery the receiver has had during his rehab. That is normal, but could mean the recovery is not going as well as the team had hoped.
In his three games last season, Britt had 17 catches for 289 yards and three touchdowns.
