The Seahawks have agreed to terms with free-agent OT Alex Barron after his tryout with the team during its rookie minicamp last weekend.

Barron was the 19th overall pick by the Rams in the 2005 draft, and he was a starter in St. Louis through the 2009 season. He spent 2010 with Dallas and 2011 with New Orleans until he was waived/injured in October.

Besides Barron, the Seahawks signed TE Cooper Helfet, CB Donny Lisowski and OT Andrew Mitchell. To make room for them on the roster, the team released CB London Durham, LB Adrian Moten, OT Jon Opperud and OL Brent Osborne.
