Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew is skipping organized team activities, which began in Jacksonville on Tuesday.
The workouts are voluntary, but the Jaguars have a new coaching staff, therefore a new playbook for Jones-Drew to learn.
Entering his seventh season, Jones-Drew is scheduled to make $4.45 million this season. He signed a five-year, $31 million deal in 2009 and will be a free agent in 2014.
Jones-Drew won the league's rushing title last year after gaining 1,606 yards on the ground.
