Eagles OLT Jason Peters ruptured his Achilles tendon for the second time, according to Derrick Gunn of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.

Peters was using a Roll-A-Bout in his kitchen when the device malfunctioned and he fell, re-injuring his Achilles, per the report.

Peters originally tore his Achilles on March 27 when working out. This incident set his recovery back three weeks, as he needed a second surgery. Peters plans to sue the manufacturer of the device, Gunn reported.

It’s not expected that Peters will return for the 2012 season. The Eagles signed former Bills OLT Demetress Bell to replace the five-time Pro Bowler.
