Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey was arrested last month and has been charged with drunken driving, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Heyward-Bey was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol on the Bay Bridge between San Francisco and Oakland on April 7 for speeding and driving out of his lane. He also failed a field sobriety test and was cited with alleged drunken driving.
According to the newspaper, the former first-round pick could face up to a six-month jail sentence for the misdemeanor citation. Heyward-Bey is scheduled to appear in court on May 31.
Heyward-Bey was Oakland’s top receiver in 2011, going for 64-975-4, all of which were career-highs.
