The Broncos agreed to terms with former Bills CB Drayton Florence, the team announced on Thursday.

The Bills cut Florence last Friday. Florence, who signed an extension with Buffalo before the 2011 season, had spent the past three seasons with the Bills. He started all 16 games in each of the last two seasons.

In ’11, Florence made 50 tackles, 12 passes defensed and three interceptions. He began his career with the Chargers in ’03, where he played until 2007. Florence played in 15 games with eight starts for the Jaguars in ’08.

The way we see it

If he still has anything left in his legs, the 31-year-old Florence should provide nice depth for the Broncos. Starters Champ Bailey and Tracy Porter are both solid, but there is limited talent behind them. Florence could emerge as the team's third corner, battling with second-year pro Chris Harris and rookie Omar Bolden for the job.
