The Falcons released FB Ovie Mughelli on Tuesday, the team announced.

In five seasons with Atlanta, Mughelli played in 69 games with 38 starts. Last season, he had four catches for 25 yards and two touchdowns in seven games.

Mughelli began his career with the Ravens in 2003. He has six career receiving touchdowns and one rushing score.

The Falcons used a fifth-round pick on FB Bradie Ewing in last month’s draft.
