The Jaguars have released WR Jarett Dillard, one of their top receivers last season, along with five other players.
Dillard had 29 receptions for Jacksonville last season, fifth-most on the team. He is set to enter his third NFL season after being a Jaguars fifth-rounder in 2009.
The team also released QB Dan LeFevour, S Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, WR Nelson Rosario, WR Jarrett Boykin and DE Frank Trotter.
To fill the roster spots, the Jaguars signed seven players. That includes veterans QB Jordan Palmer, FB Naufahu Tahi and DT Odrick Ray, along with four rookies in WR Mike Brown, WR Chris Forcier, LB Donovan Richard and DB Jeremiah Brown.
Palmer has the most NFL experience, having played three seasons with the Bengals from 2008-10.
