The Colts look like they might have landed another fantasy stud at tight end. Coby Fleener is a receiver in a TE role who can play the slot and possibly line up in various spots on the line.
Fleener can get vertical with the deep play and has great coordination in following the ball and making tacklers miss. More importantly, he has a strong work ethic and he will need it, as he’s a poor blocker.
That will keep him off the field if he can’t block so it's imperative he immediately work on that. My only issue with the Colts selecting him is their offensive coordinator Bruce Arians did not feature the tight end as a receiver in Pittsburgh.
However, Fleener has more talent than Steelers TE Heath Miller and with the league featuring tight ends like Antonio Gates, Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham, Fleener will be given a chance to exploit that talent.
Fleener makes an intriguing No. 2 fantasy tight end and based on camp and preseason games might not be a late-round flier but an earlier pick. He's a must-draft in dynasty leagues.
