In an ironic twist, the Broncos drafted Brock Osweiler, the player who beat out John Elway’s son at Arizona State. Osweiler is purely a developmental player right now behind Peyton Manning. He’s a big kid at 6-7 and 242 pounds and has a cannon of an arm. He also can make all of the throws and make them accurately. He can move within the pocket but fantasy owners will love his ability to get outside and run. Obviousl,y with his arm, he’s suited for a vertical-attack offense.
Being a one-year starter he’s raw in experience but his size and build will allow for QB sneaks and rushing touchdowns. A man his size is a load to bring down.
In larger dynasty leagues, where players rarely move once drafted on their squads, he has value. Right now, he has no value in single-season leagues. That is even if Manning goes down. Osweiler is someone to watch but his time is the future, not today.
