The Steelers re-signed QB Byron Leftwich to a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday evening.
Leftwich broke his left arm in the preseason last August and missed all of 2011. In 2010, Leftwich played in one game and completed 5-of-7 passes for 42 yards.
The ninth-year veteran started three games for the Bucs in 2009. His most productive seasons came when he began his career in 2003. From ’03-05 he started 38 games for the Jaguars.
