The NFL will suspend former Bengals WR Jerome Simpson for three games, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. Simpson pleaded guilty to felony drug charges on March 1.
On April 5, Simpson was sentenced to 15 days in jail and three years' probation. Two pounds of marijuana were shipped to his Kentucky home last September, which resulted in an arrest. Simpson's original charges were reduced as part of the plea agreement.
Last season, Simpson started 14 games and had 50 catches for 725 yards and four touchdowns. Simpson is a free agent and has reportedly visited the Rams and Vikings.
