Respondents to a PFW web poll asking, "How do you see the Saints' season playing out in 2012?" believe that the Saints will have a hard time recovering from their turbulent offseason and will miss the playoffs.

With the bounty scandal taking away head coach Sean Payton for the entire season plus GM Mickey Loomis for half the season and interim head coach Joe Vitt for the first six games, nearly 55 percent of voters (54.8) believe it's too much for the team to overcome. Plus, that doesn't even account for the player suspensions that are expected.

However, even with all of that being factored in, more than 29 percent of respondents (29.3) believe that the Saints will make the playoffs as a wild-card team. Another 11.6 percent of respondents think New Orleans will win the NFC South for a second consecutive season and 4.3 percent of voters believe the Saints will make it all the way to Super Bowl XLVII, which will be held at the Superdome.
