A report by ESPN.com says that Steelers RFA WR Mike Wallace is so unhappy with the prospect of signing a one-year tender rather than a long-term deal that he is thinking seriously about missing some or all of training camp.
According to the report, Wallace, who caught 72 passes for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns last season, has told some Steelers that he won't sign his RFA tender "until he has to." He has until June 15 to sign the $2.7 million tender before the Steelers can cut the tender all the way down to $577,500.
The Steelers have said the team wants to sign its top wideout to a multiyear deal.
In his three-year NFL career, Wallace has totaled 171 catches for 3,206 yards and 24 TDs.
