The 49ers announced Tuesday that LB Larry Grant signed his restricted free-agent tender and that the team re-signed WR Brett Swain.

Grant, a reserve linebacker, stepped up in a starting role late in the season. On “Monday Night Football” in Week 15, Grant had four passes defensed against the Steelers in a 20-3 win. He had 11 tackles in Week 14 and 12 in Week 16.

Swain played in five games last season with one start. He had two catches for 15 yards.
