The Bears reinstated RB Harvey Unga from the reserve/left squad list on Monday as they began their offseason workout program.
Unga first joined the Bears after they spent a seventh-round pick on him in the 2010 supplemental draft, but he has yet to play in a regular-season game.
He spent the 2010 season on injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury in training camp and he was placed on the reserve/left squad list on Sept. 3, 2011 after being excused from training camp to tend to a personal matter.
The way we see it
Unga, who is built like a fulllback, will have to earn a spot on special teams to make the Bears' 53-man roster.
