Veteran free-agent WR Lee Evans will sign a one-year deal with the Jaguars on Monday, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Evans, 31, was cut by the Ravens in March after one disappointing season with the team. He missed seven games with an ankle injury and caught only four passes for 74 yards in the nine games in which he saw action. He almost made the go-ahead TD catch late in the fourth quarter of the AFC championship-game loss to New England but Patriots DB Sterling Moore punched the ball out of his hands in the endzone, negating a score.
The 5-10, 197-pound Wisconsin product spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with Buffalo before being traded by the Bills to the Ravens last August for a fourth-round draft pick.
Evans has caught 381 passes for 6,008 yards and 43 touchdowns in his career.
