Three days after he visited the Dolphins, LB Gary Guyton has agreed to terms with the team on a one-year deal. The news was first reported by PFW columnist Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
Guyton played the first four years of his career with the Patriots, starting 32 games in that time span. He recorded 229 tackles, 4½ sacks and three interceptions with New England.
He is the second player to join the Dolphins this offseason from a different AFC East team, joining ex-Jets OLB Jamaal Westerman on the Miami roster. According to the newspaper, Guyton is expected to compete with Koa Misi for a starting job across from Cameron Wake.
