OT Sean Locklear will remain in the NFC East, signing with the Giants after playing with the Redskins last season.
“It’s exciting. I was on the other end of two games against the Giants last year – followed them pretty well in their run to the Super Bowl,” he said. “But, actually, when I got the call I was kind of excited about the chance to actually play in New York and who doesn’t want to play with the team who just got done winning the Super Bowl? My thing is to just get in here and start fresh, start learning again and try to help this team get back to where they want to go.”
Locklear’s NFL career began in 2004 with the Seahawks, where he played through the 2010 season. In 2005, he started every game at right tackle, including Super Bowl XL.
Last season, Locklear signed with the Redskins. He played in eight games with four starts — three at left tackle and one at right tackle. Giants ORT Kareem McKenzie is an unrestricted free agent.
