The Broncos have signed DL Justin Bannan, giving the team another body at a position of need. Terms and conditions of the deal were not announced.
Set to enter his 11th NFL season, Bannan returns to the team he played for in 2010, when he started all 16 games for Denver. Last season he played for the Rams, registering 31 tackles in 15 games. Bannan has also played for the Bills and Ravens during his career.
The Broncos have been looking for defensive line help this offseason. The team lost DT Brodrick Bunkley in free agency to the Saints and have not shown interest in re-signing Marcus Thomas. They are hopeful to have veteran DT Ty Warren return to the lineup, though he hasn’t played since 2009 because of injury, making the addition of Bannan that much more important.
