The Seahawks agreed to terms to re-sign CB Marcus Trufant, the team announced on Monday.

A Washington native who played at Washington State, Trufant was the Seahawks' first-round pick (No. 11 overall) in the 2003 NFL draft. Seattle released Trufant on March 7, as he was reportedly due a base salary of $7.2 million.

Last season, Trufant played in only four games. He started those four games and recorded 23 tackles, three passes defensed and one interception. Back issues kept Trufant off the field.

In his career, Trufant has started 123 games, recording 100 passes defensed, 21 interceptions and four forced fumbles.
