Former Bears free-agent DT Amobi Okoye has reached a contract agreement with the Buccaneers, ESPN.com reported Saturday night, citing a source familiar with the negotiations.
Okoye spent one season with Chicago, registering four sacks and 27 tackles while serving primarily as a backup three-technique behind Henry Melton. The five-year veteran spent his first four seasons in Houston.
Okoye’s departure follows the Bears’ March 1 release of NT Anthony Adams, who has yet to sign with another team.
