Former NFL DT Warren Sapp filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and is more than $6.7 million in debt.

Sapp owes the $6.7 million to creditors and also for back child support and alimony. His $6.45 million in assets includes 240 pairs of Jordan athletic shoes, a $2,250 watch and a $1,200 lion skin rug.

TMZ.com first reported the filing, which took place in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on March 30.

The former star D-lineman reported losing his 2002 Super Bowl ring he won with the Buccaneers and his 1991 national championship ring from the University of Miami.

Sapp works for NFL Network, but his contract ends in August.
