The Bengals have released S Chris Crocker, who started all 16 regular-season games for the team last season.

The 32-year-old Crocker had 61 tackles last season for Cincinnati, to go along with 3½ sacks and five passes defensed. He played in every game for the first time since 2006, when he was a member of the Falcons.

The Bengals re-signed SS Reggie Nelson early in free agency, but he is now the only safety on the roster with starting experience.
