The Cardinals have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with free-agent S James Sanders, according to PFW correspondent and Arizona Republic writer Kent Somers.

Sanders spent the 2011 season with the Falcons, where he played in 15 games with six starts. Sanders made 41 tackles and three passes defensed.

Sanders began his career in 2005 with the Patriots, where he played through the 2010 season. His most productive campaign came in 2007, when he started 15 games and recorded 71 tackles, five passes defensed and two interceptions.

The Cardinals lost DB Richard Marshall in free agency. Marshall signed with the Dolphins.
