The Bears double-dipped into the CB market Thursday, agreeing to terms with unrestricted free agent Jonathan Wilhite on a one-year deal after adding Kelvin Hayden to the fold earlier in the day.

Wilhite, a four-year veteran, played in 15 games for the Broncos last season. He started twice and recorded the only two sacks of his career. Wilhite spent the first three seasons of his career with the Patriots and has four career interceptions in 54 NFL games.

The way we see it

The Bears decided to add low-cost veterans to beef up their thin corner corps after losing Corey Graham and Zack Bowman in free agency. Wilhite has experience playing nickel back and will be competing against Tim Jennings, D.J. Moore and Hayden to see time at corner.
