The Vikings will open their 2012 preseason schedule against Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers, who nearly made a Super Bowl in his first season with the team.

The game times and days are not official for any of the Vikings’ preseason games yet, but the preseason opener will happen at Candlestick Park between Aug. 9-13.

None of the Vikings’ preseason games will be featured in prime time.

They will face off against the Bills at home in the second game (Aug. 16-20), followed by contests against the Chargers in Minnesota (Aug. 23-26) and finally the Texans in Houston (Aug. 29-30) before the start of the regular season.

The Vikings play the 49ers (home) and Texans (away) later in the regular season, but the full schedule has not yet been released.
