The Steelers will not re-sign unrestricted free-agent P Daniel Sepulveda, he told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in a story published Wednesday.

Sepulveda, 28, has a 38.2-yard net average in 52 career regular-season games, but he has lost all of one season and parts of two others because of injuries to his right knee. He has twice torn his right ACL since joining the Steelers, and another right knee injury ended his 2011 season.

Jeremy Kapinos, who finished the 2011 season as the Steelers' punter, is an exclusive-rights free agent.
