Lions DT Nick Fairley was arrested on second-degree marijuana charges in Alabama. The news was first reported by the Mobile Press-Register.
Fairley’s car was stopped early Tuesday following complaints of a speeding vehicle in a Mobile, Ala., subdivision. Police pulled over Fairley and found marijuana when they searched the vehicle. They then made an arrest.
He was held at Mobile County Metro Jail on $1,000 bail.
Fairley, the No. 13 overall pick of the 2011 draft, had 15 tackles and one sack in 10 games for Detroit during an injury-hampered rookie season.
On Monday, Lions RB Mikel Leshoure was arrested on marijuana charges for the second time this offseason.
