Vikings WR Percy Harvin tweeted Monday night that he will need shoulder surgery.
“Just found out I will need surgery on shoulder,” he wrote. “Recovery should be quick I will be ready for (OTAs).”
Harvin played in all 16 games last season for the first time in his three-year career. In 2011, Harvin had 87 catches for 967 yards and six touchdowns receiving and added 52 carries for 345 yards and two touchdowns rushing.
Per Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer Press, Harvin will undergo arthroscopic shoulder surgery, and that it will be a “minor scope.”
Harvin had a shoulder injury in 2009. It’s unclear how this injury occurred.
