LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar tweeted on Monday that he has reached an agreement to sign with the Rams. The four-year vet visited St. Louis on March 22.
Financial terms and conditions have not been announced.
Dunbar played the first four years of his career with the Saints. He played in all 16 games last season, starting 14 of them, and registered 79 tackles, one sack and forced two fumbles.
The Rams are expected to run a similar defense to what the Saints have in recent years, though it's unknown who will run the defense now that defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is suspended for his participation in New Orleans’ bounty scandal.
Dunbar is expected to take over on the Rams' defense for Chris Chamberlain, who in turn is going to fill in Dunbar’s spot with the Saints after signing there earlier in the offseason.
The Rams also announced they have re-signed QB Tom Brandstater.
