The Bengals currently have 12 first-round picks on their roster after the additions of DE Derrick Harvey, DL Jamaal Anderson and CB Jason Allen and the re-signing of OLB Manny Lawson. Overall, the Bengals have as many first-rounders on defense (nine) as the Steelers have on their entire roster and more defensive No. 1 picks than the Ravens (eight) and Browns (five) have in total. The Bengals’ first-round count is likely to grow, with Cincinnati having two No. 1 picks in this month’s draft. “They are guys that have superior athletic talent, we feel like,” Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said of first-round picks at last week’s NFL meetings, according to the club. Other No. 1 picks linked to the Bengals are CB Terence Newman, whom Lewis said the club would like to add; and DT Amobi Okoye, who’s reportedly slated to make a free-agent visit to Cincinnati.
