Dolphins LB Koa Misi was arrested Friday by the Broward County Sheriff’s fugitive squad.
A warrant was issued out of Santa Barbara, Calif., for Misi on charges of battery with serious injury, stemming from a bar fight several months ago, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
A Broward Sheriff's Office spokesman said Misi was arrested without incident at his home in Weston, Fla. Misi's attorney says he will waive extradition to California and plead not guilty to the charges.
Misi, 25, is entering his third season with the Dolphins. He has played in 28 games with 20 starts, totaling 55 tackles and 5½ sacks.
Misi will likely appear in court Friday afternoon.
