The Falcons agreed to a one-year deal to re-sign unrestricted free-agent C Todd McClure.
McClure, a 13-year veteran, started all 13 games he played in last season. He missed the first two weeks of the season because of injury, which ended a streak of 144 consecutive starts.
McClure has spent his entire career with Atlanta, starting 179 of the 182 games in which he has played.
The way we see it
While he is well past his prime, McClure is a solid veteran and leader of the Falcons' offensive line. He may have to compete against Joe Hawley for the starting center job, though, while free-agent addition Vince Manuwai could battle Garrett Reynolds and Mike Johnson to fill the void at right guard.
