The Cardinals have signed DB William Gay to a two-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not announced.
Gay, who played the past five seasons for the Steelers, is expected to replace Richard Marshall in Arizona’s starting lineup. Marshall signed with the Dolphins earlier this offseason.
Gay has never missed a game during his career and made 15 starts for Pittsburgh a year ago. He recorded 51 tackles and had two interceptions in 2011, playing both cornerback and safety.
Arizona’s defensive coordinator — Ray Horton — was with Pittsburgh when the Steelers drafted Gay in 2007.
