QB Brian Hoyer has signed his restricted free-agent tender with the Patriots, keeping him as Tom Brady’s backup for at least one more season. The one-year deal is worth $1.92 million.

Hoyer, a former undrafted free agent out of Michigan State, has played in 13 games since entering the NFL, though he never has made a start. For his career, he has completed 62.8 percent of passes, with one touchdown and one interception.

Hoyer ranked 90th on PFW’s list of the top 100 free agents this offseason.
