The Panthers made a pair of free-agent signings on Thursday in an effort to add depth to their roster.

Carolina signed OG Mike Pollak and LB/special-teamer Kenny Onatolu. The terms of Pollak’s deal were not announced; Onatolu agreed to a three-year deal worth $2.7 million.

Pollak spent his first four NFL seasons with the Colts. He has started 41 games since entering the league and likely will replace OLG Travelle Wharton, whom the team released nine days ago.

Onatolu played for the Vikings the past three years. He has played in all 48 games since entering the NFL but has only one start. For his career, the linebacker has made 44 tackles. He ranked second on the Vikings last season in special-teams tackles with 11.

Slated to be a restricted free agent, Onatolu didn't receive a minimum tender or qualifying offer from Minnesota, making him an unrestricted free agent March 13.

"Mike is a very physical, smart, experienced veteran guard who will come in and compete for a starting position," Panthers GM Marty Hurney said in a statement. "Kenny is a very good, physical special-teamer who will be given the opportunity to compete for a role at linebacker."
