A few hours after it was announced the Bears had signed RB Michael Bush to a four-year, $14 million contract, one of Bush’s newest teammates spoke out about the disrespect he’s feeling from the team’s front office.

Starting RB Matt Forté, who was given the franchise tag by the Bears at the start of the offseason, has been seeking a long-term contract from the team over the past two years. He is set to make $7.7 million this season, while Bush’s deal to be a backup earns him $7 million guaranteed. That doesn’t seem to sit well with Forté.

On Thursday afternoon, the Pro Bowl running back tweeted, "There's only so many times a man that has done everything he's been asked to do can be disrespected! Guess the GOOD GUYS do finish last...."

When asked for clarification on the comments, Forté’s agent Adisa Bakari told ESPN Chicago’s Michael C. Wright, "Since drafting Matt in 2008, the Bears have signed Kevin Jones, Chester Taylor and Marion Barber, all ostensibly to serve as Matt's backup. To sign yet another running back, prior to completing a contract with Matt suggests disregard for Matt and his contributions to the Bears."

Forté opted not to hold out last summer when heading into the final year of his rookie contract, but there is a chance, based on his comments, that he could hold out during training camp this year.
