Patriots QB Tom Brady reportedly restructured his contract to free up nearly $7.2 million in salary-cap space for the team. The restructured figures were reported by Brian McIntyre of FootballOutsiders.com.

Brady, who signed a four-year, $72 million contract extension in 2010, was set to have a $5.75 million base salary in ’12. After the restructuring, the base salary for this season is now $950,000.

The Pro Bowl QB's cap number for 2013 and ’14 is $21.8 million.
