Peyton Manning will inform his suitors of his chosen team either Monday or Tuesday next week, NFL Network's Albert Breer reported Friday night, citing league sources.
Three teams reportedly remain in the contest for Manning's services: Denver, Tennessee and San Francisco. Manning threw for the 49ers earlier in the week and for the Broncos on Friday. He'll work out for the Titans on Saturday morning at an undisclosed location, Jonathan Hutton of the Titans Sports Network reported via Twitter. Hutton also reported that Manning passed a physical during his Wednesday visit with the Titans.
The Dolphins and the Cardinals were eliminated from consideration after Manning met with both teams.
According to Breer, the starting point for determining Manning's next contract will the five-year, $90 deal he signed with Indianapolis last August. However, whichever team signs him is expected to get some protection in the event that Manning's neck problems resurface.
The Colts released Manning on March 7.
