Fantasy spin: Kevin Boss

A huge fantasy disappointment, Kevin Boss was also a disappointment to the Raiders, who let him go after only one season. The Chiefs brought him in under a three-year contract, and he will be part of their two-TE packages.

With the Raiders last year he totaled 28-368-3 on 40 targets, his lowest output since his rookie season. In five seasons he's posted 147-1,968-21 in 72 games — a per-game average of 2.0 catches for 27.3 yards and 0.3 TDs. Clearly those are waiver-wire numbers. He'll share time with Tony Moeaki, a younger, quicker and faster version of Boss if he's fully healthy. Moeaki has to show he can return from an ACL tear and show he can be the primary pass receiver.

Boss will enter the season with minimal value, but if Moeaki can't come back as expected, Boss could become a late-round draft pick in larger leagues. A player to watch in training camp, he'll make a better in-season pickup once we determine each receiver's role.
